What can I expect during my appointment?
The treatment takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the condition and density of your natural brow hairs and the desired result.
The treatment is relaxing and performed while you comfortably lie back with your eyes closed. Your brows are cleansed and prepared before the brow hairs are carefully brushed and positioned into the desired shape.
Specialised solutions are then applied to soften and reshape the brow hairs, followed by a setting solution to hold them in their new direction. A nourishing keratin treatment is incorporated into the process to help condition and care for the brow hair.
Your brows can then be shaped and finished to enhance their natural appearance.
Aftercare
To help maintain your beautiful results and keep your brow hairs healthy, please follow these simple aftercare guidelines:
- Avoid rubbing or excessively touching your brows.
- Avoid getting your brows wet for the first 24 hours.
- Avoid heat treatments, steam rooms, saunas and excessive heat for 24 hours.
- Avoid excessive sweating or activities that may cause the brows to become wet during the first 24 hours.
- Avoid sunbathing for 24 hours.
- Do not apply make-up or receive other brow treatments for at least 24 hours.
- Avoid sleeping directly on your brows during the first night where possible.
- Once the 24-hour period has passed, gently brush your brows into your desired shape using a clean brow spoolie.
Contraindications
For your safety, Keratin Eyebrow Lamination may not be suitable if you have:
- A known sensitivity or allergy to brow, tinting or cosmetic products
- Eczema affecting the brow area
- Psoriasis around the eyebrows
- Skin irritation or inflammation in the treatment area
- Open cuts, broken skin or wounds around the brows
- Any current skin infection in or around the treatment area
